Summer Academy

History

Based on the AAHE Summer Academy model, the summer academies at Del Mar College have developed concepts and principles that have fostered new directions for the work of the institution. The impact of these academies on the College's mission, curriculum, and instruction is reflected in the titles and themes formulated by academy teams. Clearly, the College has realigned its emphasis, moving away from structures and pedagogies of traditional instruction and toward an innovative learning college model. Student learning outcomes (research-based and data-driven) are today the central focus.
