Smarter Measure – Learning Readiness Indicator

Smarter Measure (formerly READI) is a web-based tool that assesses a learner's readiness to suceed in an online learning program. Smarter Measure indicates the degree to which an individual student possesses attributes, skills and knowledge that contribute to success in online learning.
Smarter Measure does not rely on simple self-assessment questions with obvious "right" and "wrong" answers. Rather, Smarter Measure uses a sequence of activities to measure the degree to which students possess the traits needed for success in studying at a distance.
Smarter Measure provides an immediate score and diagnostic interpretation of results to the student and to their prospective school.

     turnitinLogo  Turnitin

At a time when digital information is perceived to be “free,” the Turnitin Originality Checking service helps educators promote an environment that emphasizes learning over copying.

    • Half a million educators in over 7,300 high schools and colleges in 108 countries use Turnitin to check student works for proper citation or possible plagiarism.

    • Every day, Turnitin searches hundreds of thousands of papers for text matches against a constantly-growing database of more than 85 million student papers, and billions of pages of web content — including billions of pages of commercial and archived content not available on the public web — such as books and subscription-based journals.

    • Each Turnitin submission produces an easy-to-read Originality Report, which educators can use to assess unoriginal content and teach students about proper citation, and encourage academic integrity.

Using Turnitin helps educators teach students to think for themselves — especially when working with outside sources.

Accounts available through the helpdesk at (361) 698-2330 or via email at helpdesk@delmar.edu.
