TLC EVENTS

CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
Each semester the TLC provides workshops, classes and seminars to help faculty and staff learn new skills and concepts so that they may better support student learning. Classes include training in technology, self-improvement/awareness, pedagogy, methodology, etc. Del Mar's faculty and staff, as well as regional and national consultants, teach the classes and workshops. While most of the sessions are conducted in the TLC, departments may request facilitators to conduct sessions in designated department facilities.

CONFIDENTIAL CONSULTATIONS
Faculty and staff can get assistance with all software applications available in the Center as well as with all facets of Blackboard course management and organization. Resources, assistants and information will be provided.

OPPORTUNITIES TO FACILITATE & TEACH
The TLC extends an invitation to all faculty and staff who have expertise, skills and
information that support and facilitate student learning. Leading workshops and
discussions allows facilitators to help students on a broader scale, contributes to a
positive and collegial atmosphere, and provides opportunities to develop valuable
communication and professional skills. The TLC publicizes all workshops and provides
equipment and duplicating services. Interested individuals should call the Center for
additional information.

ONLINE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The TLC partners with the Texas Network for Teaching Excellence to provide online professional development services. Interested individuals should create a profile at www.txpod.org and search for topics of interest.
