GRANTS & AWARDS

In addition to the many services the TLC offers, it also allocates funds in support of Professional and Organizational Development (POD) grants. Two different POD Committees (one for faculty and the other for non-faculty staff) are charged with the solicitation, review, and recommendation of POD grant proposals submitted for registration fees to conferences, workshops, and seminars.

The POD Faculty Grant Committee also reviews and recommends faculty proposals for grant funding for independent study or research related to an eligible candidate's instructional area. This Committee also solicits, reviews and recommends a nominee for the annual Piper Professor Award as well as four awardees to attend the NISOD annual conference. All nominations and awards are issued to recognize excellent scholarship and service to the College.
