The University of the Incarnate Word offers a Masters degree program on the Del Mar College Center for Economic Development, at 3209 S. Staples St., Suite 104 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

ADMISSIONS CONSIDERATIONS
Students interested in attending the University of the Incarnate Word Masters program at the Del Mar College Center must have evidence of an earned Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning with a desired GPA of 2.5 or better.

At least one of the following as specified by the discipline under program description:

  • A nationally recognized entrance test specified by the discipline
  • Evaluation by one or more professionals in the intended field of study
  • Professional certification or a degree of equal or higher level than that sought from an accredited institution of higher learning

Other admission criteria as specified by the discipline may include but are not limited to:

  • A minimum number of semester hours in the discipline with a specified GPA minimum
  • Other specialized test with minimum performance
  • An interview with faculty or admissions personnel
  • A writing sample

Exceptions to UIW policies must be approved by the Dean of the School of Business in consultation with the Academic Vice President. All decisions regarding the awarding of academic credit are made according to the procedures approved by the faculty, published in the Graduate Bulletin of UIW.

ACCREDITATION
The University of the Incarnate Word is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.

UIW, through the HEB School of Business, Applied Arts, and Administration, is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) to offer the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree and the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

PROGRAM FORMAT
This flexible evening study program is designed to meet the needs of working adults desiring to complete their degree, offering accelerated graduate courses in eight-week terms, with five of these terms in one year.

All students must have completed, or complete in their first semester, all admission requirements, to include having taken the GMAT or GRE, depending on their program. Additionally, all students must be formally accepted by the university before beginning the program.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Complete an application form and include a $ 20 application fee (check only, no cash). (Call 361-888-5445 for an application, request by email, or download in PDF format).
  2. Request official transcripts from all previous schools you have attended. No admission can be completed, and no formal degree plan prepared, until we receive current (issued within the last 6 months) official transcripts mailed directly from the registrar of all post-secondary schools you have attended to our office, using the following address:

  3. Application, application fee and transcripts will be sent as a package to Coeta Montgomery, the graduate program advisor for the Corpus Christi center.
  4. The GMAT or GRE must be taken before starting the program.

DROP/WITHDRAWAL POLICY
To drop or withdraw from a course, you must complete an Add/Drop form and contact an advisor or ADCAP staff member. Contacting your instructor will not drop or withdraw you from a course. Once you have registered, do not assume that not attending class will automatically drop you from a course.

REFUND PERIODS: 100% refund if dropped before the end of the first week of classes.

WITHDRAWAL WITHOUT PENALTY: The last day to withdraw from a class without academic penalty is the end of the sixth week of classes. If you withdraw from a class after this date, you will receive a grade reflecting what you have earned based on all requirements of the course.
