The primary function of the system is to: Monitor office and classroom temperatures Turn HVAC equipment on and off based on a predetermined schedule Reset discharge air on handling units. Natural GasHeating requirements for the campuses are minimal. The East Campus utilizes gas-fired boilers to provide heating water for the HVAC systems. The Physical Facilities department’s conservation of natural gas consists of monitoring the heating and hot water supply temperatures and maintaining the gas-fired boilers so that they operate at maximum efficiency.
