• 2012 Viking Games

This October, get ready for three weeks of food, fun, fierce competition and Viking spirit!

    Week One: Ultimate Viking Challenge

Think you have what it takes to be the “ultimate” Viking?

Then you’ll want to compete in the Del Mar College Alumni Association-sponsored ULTIMATE VIKING CHALLENGE! Earn points toward winning bragging rights and a trophy.

Men’s and women’s competitions are scheduled for both the East and West Campuses:

    • Wednesday, Oct. 10: East Campus Gymnasium from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
    • Thursday, Oct. 11: West Campus at the Wall of Values inside the Public Safety Education Classroom Building from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Champions will be selected based on best combined scores in the following challenges:
    • Fixed Arm Hang – Women
    • Pull-ups – Men
    • Crunches
    • One-half Mile Run

Stop in during the designated date and time on your campus to register and compete. Volunteers will record your scores with winners notified by email/telephone.

And if you’re really the Ultimate Viking, the Bloodmobile from the Coastal Bend Blood Center will be on-site at each location to take life-saving donations! All DMC Vikings are welcome to give blood so others may live.
