This panel brings together ¡Somos Tejanas! co-editors Dr. Jody Marín, Professor of English at Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK), and Dr. Norma Cantú, a leading voice in Mexican American Studies and Chicana literature and Murchison Professor of the Humanities at Trinity University. They’ll be joined by contributors Elizabeth N. Flores — poet, emeritus professor, and former Del Mar College MAS Program Coordinator — and Dr. Alberto Rodriguez, Director of the Mexican American Studies Institute at TAMUK.

Moderated by Claudia Morales, long-time MAS faculty member at Del Mar College, the discussion will explore the anthology’s creation, cultural impact, and its importance to Tejano/a/x communities.
