    • Do you love to watch cooking shows and wonder what it would be like to be a chef? Are you interested in a career in either culinary arts or baking and pastry? Learn more about these and other programs available at Del Mar College during a live chat session with faculty from these programs. Chef Israel “Izzy” Villanueva and Chef Claudia Hurt will share information to prepare you for a great career as a baker, cook, executive chef, sous chef or pastry chef. Learn the skills needed to safely prepare food as well as to present promptly and visually pleasing creations. During the live session, Chef Izzy will demonstrate seafood gumbo with steamed rice and cracklin’ cornbread. Delicious!

What is the TEAS Test, and when should you take it? What is the selection process for a spot in the next class? Additionally, career and industry training programs are offered in sectors ranging from Allied Health, Business Management and Accounting, Office Assistant and Computer Software Training to Human Sciences and Education, Industrial Technology and Real Estate. Registration for Continuing Education courses is not the same as for DMC academic programs, and courses are offered throughout the year.
