Welcome to the Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (PIE)

The Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (PIE) leads Del Mar College’s continuous improvement activities and collaborates with all areas of the College in pursuit of the vision to be “the premier choice for life-changing educational opportunities provided by responsive, innovative faculty and staff who empower students to improve local and global communities.”

Services Offered

PIE includes the following administrative functions: strategic planning, student learning and instructional program assessment, administrative and academic student support assessment, institutional research, curriculum management, and institutional and programmatic accreditation. PIE also leads and supports the College’s implementation of guided pathways and the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP):  Goals + Planning = Success.
