Where to find citation information in Beacon:

APA Periodical Citations
Note: The DOI is typically located at the bottom of a source's information page.

Citations for periodicals include:

• Author’s name(s) (last name followed by first and middle initials)
• Date of publication (in parentheses)
• Title of article (capitalize only first word of the title, first word of subtitle, and proper nouns)
• Title of periodical (italicized with the first letter of all the main words capitalized)
• Volume number (italicized)
• Issue number (always included for journals in parentheses)
• Page numbers
• DOI (always include if there is one) or URL (if from an online journal that is not part of a database)
• Periodicals from an academic research database that do not have a DOI are cited the same way as periodicals in print (See the third example below)

Note: Include as much of the above information as possible in the reference entry. Any missing information may be left out.
