A Place for Students

The Shape of Things to Come

In late 2019, Del Mar College broke ground for the new Oso Creek Campus at Rodd Field Road and Yorktown Boulevard. This modern campus will include:

  • Main Building for Student Services, Campus Security and gathering areas
  • Library
  • STEM Building with an Architecture Studio and Maker Space
  • Culinary Academy with Teaching Kitchens and a Coffee Shop/Restaurant

Every inch of the space is planned, from the patterns of the bricks and mortar, to the cooling effects of water features, to how the buildings will handle coastal winds and sunlight.

Here’s a completion schedule summary for the Oso Creek Campus*:

  • Central Plant substantial completion: May 2022
  • STEM Building substantial completion: May 2022
  • Culinary Arts substantial completion: May 2022
  • Main Building substantial completion: August 2022
  • STEM Building “soft” opening: July 11, 2022 (Summer II)
  • Classes start – STEM and Culinary Arts buildings: Fall 2022
  • Classes start – Main Building: Spring 2023

* Estimated construction/completion dates are subject to change.
