Fady remained working at Spohn Shoreline for a year after his wife left. He soon discovered his dream became Mireya’s dream, to open a restaurant. Anyone who has ever met Fady would say that he is one of the most giving, loving, and compassionate men they will meet. He loves soaking up everything life gives him. Fady will make the best of the best in everything he pursues.

Together Fady and Mireya strived for building Sultan. They decided to give the public a taste of their childhood. Mireya is a beautiful Hispanic, who loves Mexican food. However, any local knows Mexican restaurants are nowhere out of sight. They both wanted to give something rarely given to Corpus Christi. The Mediterranean Sea borders many familiar countries to Fady. Fady grew up eating Mediterranean cooking everyday before he moved to America. Mediterranean food isn’t exactly an everyday meal to many Americans, like fast food, Mexican, or Chinese food is. Why not break the chain? Go out on a limb! Try something rarely spoken of! Fady and Mireya have you taken care of at Sultan Mediterranean Cuisine!

Opening Sultan wasn’t the easiest job to conquer for them. They chose a road less traveled with a few bumps here and there, they are walking every step together, helping each other. Fady and Mireya persevere through everything that comes their way; they feel it would truly be a loss to Corpus Christi to take away a chance for the public to experience a new flavorful culture! After being open for one amazing year, and creating 12 new jobs for the ever-expanding Southside community, they look back and realize how time flies when you’re loving everyday life. They have made many new friends along the way and have met unbelievable people. Mr. and Mrs. Shaheen see their business as a wonderful success in both their community and each others eyes. They hope to enjoy many years ahead!

Fady and Mireya would like to thank God, Both believe they would not of achieved their goal without his love and support. Fady and Mireya agree that God has always been there, and will always be there for them both.
