Registration

The following registration information pertains to Continuing Education programs.

Registrations are accepted on a first-come basis. Register early to secure a place in the class of your choice. Early registration prevents the cancellation of a class due to low enrollment. Only paid registrants will be permitted in classrooms.

  • How to Register

    Three Ways to Register

    1. Online: Register online at least one day before class starts. Your position in the class is not guaranteed until payment is made.
    2. In person: Register at Business & Registration Services at the Center for Economic Development (CED), 3209 South Staples Street, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411. Print and fill out a registration form.
    3. By phone: Call 361-698-1328.

    Please note

    • Registrations are accepted on a first-come basis. 
    • Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient enrollment. 
    • The student's Social Security number must be included on registration form. 
    • Registration is not complete until fees are paid. Your position in the class is not guaranteed until payment is made.  Payment can be made by Cash, Check, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa. 
  • Register for ED2GO Courses

    1. Visit ed2go.com/delmar and select the courses you are interested in taking. When you proceed to checkout you will be required to create an account and set up a username and password.
    2. When you confirm and submit your payment you will be prompted to call the CE Business and Registration Office at (361) 698-1328 and speak with a representative who will grant you access to the online course.
    3. For any ed2go course, you will need Internet access, a non-shared email address, any web browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, and the latest Adobe Flash and PDF plug-ins.
    4. Students must complete all course work before the course end date. Students successfully completing their class will be issued a certificate of proficiency via PC download.
    5. Students can select the “Help” tab located on the homepage at ed2go.com/delmar at any time if they have technical questions regarding accessing their account, need to contact their instructor, or would like any additional information about their course.

  • Student ID and Parking Permits

    Students enrolled in Continuing Education courses are entitled to receive a student ID card and a parking permit. The ID card grants access to the library, communication lab, and student computer labs on campus during the time or semester students are enrolled for their course(s). Parking decals are required to park on campus.

    Students requesting an ID card or parking permit must have their registration receipt. Contact the Security Office at (361) 698-1946 for information on a parking permit. Contact the White Library at (361) 698-1310 for information about obtaining a student ID card.

  • Bus Service

    Students may ride Regional Transportation Authority buses free of charge anywhere in the RTA route system. A valid student ID card is required. Contact the Security Office at (361) 698-1946 for information on obtaining ID cards.
  • Course Cancellation

    A course is cancelled when there is insufficient enrollment. Every effort is made to contact students about course cancellations at least two working days before a course is scheduled to start. It is imperative that students provide current contact information when registering for a class. When students cannot be contacted, a notice of cancellation will be posted at the assigned classroom location. A 100 percent refund is processed automatically to students due to a course cancellation.
  • Refunds

    Refunds may be made under these conditions:

    1. A 100 percent refund will be made automatically if the College exercises its right to cancel a class or if a class is full at the time your registration is received. A class is canceled when there is insufficient enrollment.
    2. A 100 percent refund will be honored if requested 24 business hours prior to class beginning.

    In order to receive a refund under any condition, you must sign an application for refund at the Business & Registration Services Office, Center for Economic Development Room 104. Refunds are made by check - not in cash. Credit will be issued to the Visa or MasterCard account if registration charges were paid by credit card.

  • Financial Aid

    Financial aid is available to qualifying continuing education students through the Texas Public Education Grant program (TPEG). For information and eligibility requirements contact Financial Aid Services at (361) 698-1293. It is recommended that you apply as soon as possible to allow for adequate processing time.
  • Student Advising

    Advising is provided to students who need assistance with course selection, program information, and course prerequisite clarification. Advising is performed on an appointment basis only. Students residing outside the Corpus Christi area should call 1-800-652-3357 (select option 5).
  • Students with Disabilities

    Students in need of reasonable accommodations such as notetakers, interpreter services, special parking provisions, assistive technology must contact the Disability Services office at (361) 698-1292. (Individuals who are hearing impaired can contact via V/TDD at 1-800-841-4497.)
  • Transcripts

    Students who have attended Continuing Education courses may obtain an official transcript of their courses by contacting the Registrar's Office at (361) 698-1248.
  • Emergency Closings

    When necessary, the president has the authority to cancel classes due to extreme weather or other emergency conditions. In the event of a campus emergency or an important event, Del Mar College will use DMCAlert to get you information quickly. When a message is sent out, DMCAlert will use all communication methods on file with the system to reach you. The College's website, as well as local radio and television stations, will also announce emergency closings.
  • Campus Security

    For your safety and protection, Del Mar College has both security and police officers on duty patrolling all College campuses. Security personnel can be reached 24 hours/7 days a week at (361) 698-1199. Non-emergency calls can be made to (361) 698-1946.
