SBDC offers individual business advising in a variety of areas by professionally trained advisors who maintain the highest ethical standards of client confidentiality. Advising services are provided at no cost and are scheduled as often as needed to enable professional advisors to serve as resource support. Training Programs

SBDC provides regularly scheduled training seminars and workshops throughout its service area on a variety of topics that have been identified as important to business persons in the area. These seminars and workshops are open to the public.

Procurement Technical Assistance Center

Another important program of the SBDC is the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). The PTAC is partially funded by the Department of Defense and is designed to increase the number and type of businesses selling products and services to government agencies. The PTAC can help any business interested in doing federal, state or local contracting through the following services:

  • Technical Support for Certifications (8a, SDB, Hubzone)
  • Access to Bid Packages, Plans and Specifications
  • Electronic Bid Match Service at No Charge
  • Interpretation of Bid Documents
