In 2022, Tip Davis turned her dream of opening an authentic Thai restaurant into reality with the support of the Del Mar College Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Working closely with Advisor Vicki Pannone, Tip developed a comprehensive business plan, gained valuable market insights, and identified the ideal location to launch TUK TUK Thai Cuisine, LLC.

Today, the restaurant serves as a premier destination for authentic Thai dining in Corpus Christi, offering both dine-in and takeout experiences. Tip's commitment to quality and tradition has earned TUK TUK Thai Cuisine the distinguished Thai Select Classic Award, presented by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of Thailand. This recognition reflects her dedication to excellence and showcases how SBDC guidance helps small businesses grow and thrive in the Coastal Bend.
