Estimated Nursing Program Costs

In addition to regular tuition, these are the typical expenses once accepted into the nursing program. All costs are subject to change:

Semester 1:

  • Books (one-time cost $700–800)
  • Two uniforms ($250)
  • Stethoscope and watch ($50)
  • Skills bag ($150)
  • Drug screen ($40)

Semesters 2, 3, 4:

  • Skills bag refills ($100)

Initial licensing fees:

  • Texas Board of Nursing application fee is $75 for each license pursued VN and/or RN
  • NCLEX exam fee with Pearson VUE ($200 per exam taken)
